Evolution of the 68RFE is finally here for the high horsepower trucks! We have turned it into a 4 speed transmission. The failures we have seen in the 68RFE we have cured with our new development. This has been a long process to bring to the market, and we are glad to say that we are the first to make this a possibility!

Gears from the 68RFE that we used:

68RFE MVB-68RFE

2nd gear is now 1st gear

3rd gear is now 2nd gear

4th gear is now 3rd gear

And finally, the old 6th gear is 4th gear.

 

Fixes that are done with this manual shift valve body consist of the following:

- 100% low/revers sprag fix

- No SSV! We have deleted the problem child SSV.

- No more weak 4c clutch failure from 5th gear high power applications.

- Burnouts will no longer drag the clutches and create failure.

- Zero transmission tuning errors from incapable tuners

- Button activated, on-demand lockup

- Button activated overdrive

 

This MVB was designed for built 68RFE transmissions. The factory input shaft will not take the abuse of full locked shifts. We will offer it only in our 800 and up series here at WP Developments. If you have questions please email us directly at: ethan@wp-developments.com
